Application Procedures
Unless otherwise specified, all civil service jobs accept online applications only. Applications submitted by other means (including in person, by post, by fax or by e-mail) will not be accepted. The online application system will likely be busier towards the deadline of application and it may require longer time to complete your application. Please read carefully the advertisements of individual posts and allow sufficient time to submit applications via the stipulated means as specified in the advertisements as early as possible to ensure timely completion of your application.
Most vacancies require applications to be submitted on a prescribed application form (G.F. 340):
- For jobs that accept online applications, please apply via the G.F. 340 On-line Application System [Click here to read the Frequently Asked Questions.]
- For a few jobs that accept applications submitted in person or by post, hard copies of the application form (G.F. 340) are obtainable from any Home Affairs Enquiry Centre of District Offices, Home Affairs Department or any Job Centre of the Employment Services Division, Labour Department. Applicants may also click here to download the Application form G.F. 340 (Rev. 7/2023) in PDF format.
