In August 2025, the Hong Kong Police Force (HKPF) launched its mobile application “Super App”, a one-stop e-service platform that integrates over 50 e-services for the public to report lost items and animals, provide crime information, and lodge traffic complaints, etc. “Super App” features AI chatbot “YesSir”. The app also connects to other HKPF apps and platforms, including the HKPF Online Applications Platform, “HKP e-Licence”, the outdoor emergency rescue app “HKSOS”, and the scam and pitfall search engine “Scameter”. The technological innovation of “Super App” enables the provision of better public services by streamlining and expediting the application procedures for licences/permits and other relevant services for the public and businesses.

The “Super App” enables login via “HKPF Digital Services Logon” or “iAM Smart”, allowing users to report non-emergency cases and submit applications for licences, permits and other relevant services using the auto form-filling function. It also supports online payment and application status tracking. Real-time updates and push notifications are sent through a personalised “Message Centre”, ensuring timely and efficient communication with users.

A key feature of the “Super App” is the AI chatbot “YesSir”. Previously, the public had to navigate through multiple webpages to find information about police services for determination of appropriate actions to be taken. Now, “YesSir” delivers human-like responses to public enquiries and supports dissemination of both textual and multimedia content, significantly speeding up and simplifying information searches, offering truly seamless and consistent user experiences.

By streamlining application procedures and digitalising workflows, consolidating services, and offering attentive AI-powered support, the “Super App” of HKPF becomes a model of public service innovation, demonstrating HKPF’s continuous efforts in and commitment to transforming public services in response to user needs.
