LED by the Director of Water Supplies, Mr Tony Yau Kwok-ting, the Water Supplies Department (WSD) volunteer team, in collaboration with colleagues from the Transport Department (TD) and representatives from the Conservancy Association, jointly took part in the Shorelines Cleanup Day held at Lung Kwu Tan in Tuen Mun on 6 May 2023 to promote the message of keeping our shorelines clean.

The activity was well received with the participation of 80 and 20 volunteers from WSD and TD respectively. Many of them even invited their relatives and friends to the activity to protect the coastal environment.

Despite the hot weather, we were glad to see how patient, hardworking and persistent the children were in completing the work. The WSD volunteer team hopes that this event would foster a sense of environmental protection among our next generation.
