The Pensioner Services Unit

The Pensioner Services Unit of the Civil Service Bureau was set up in December 1987. It provides services to officers who are going to retire and pensioners in the following areas:

(a) dissemination of information of interest to pensioners;
(b) enquiry service regarding arrangements for pensions payment, contributions to dependent pensions schemes, tax liability, medical and dental treatment; and
(c) assistance to pensioners who have encountered difficulties, for example, referring the case to appropriate authority, etc.

The Pensioner Services Unit also operates a Resource Centre for Government retirees in Room 508, 5/F, West Wing, Central Government Offices, 2 Tim Mei Avenue, Tamar, Central, Hong Kong.  A number of magazines and newspapers are available for leisure reading.  Pensioners can also make use of a computer to check Internet e-mail.

Opening Hours of the Centre:

Mon - Fri 8:45 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
  2:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Closed on Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays
