Civil Service Occupational Safety and Health Day Let's Join Hands to Promote Occupational Safety and Health The Government is committed to providing a safe and healthy workplace for its employees. In conjunction with the Working Group on Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) in the Civil Service (on which the OSH Council, the Labour Department, the staff sides of the four Government's Central Consultative Councils and selected governments are represented), the Civil Service Bureau has been promoting OSH in the workplace through service-wide educational and publicity activities.
We were delighted to have the OSH Council, the Labour Department and Radio Television Hong Kong (RTHK) as co-organisers of the event. Representatives of both the management and the staff from 44 bureaux and departments joined the Civil Service OSH Day to demonstrate their joint commitment in the promotion of OSH in their workplace. After a series of competition, the awards went to:
Trailers on the experience of these 14 departments in the promotion or implementation of various OSH programmes were broadcast from 1 November to 11 November 2005 in 'Adwiser' at Radio One of the RTHK. Activities on the day was edited and broadcast in the same programme on 21 November 2005.
