Accreditation Scheme

Colleagues will shortly be invited again to apply for the Advanced Certificate in HRM in the Public Sector jointly issued by the General Grades Office and the Hong Kong Institute of Human Resource Management. Under this scheme, which was introduced in July 1996, colleagues who have completed an aggregate of 70 hours of training on HRM course organized by the CSTDI may apply for the Certificate. So far, 55 officers have been awarded the Certificate.

Review of the Managing Office Information System Course

Thanks to those colleagues who have responded to the questionnaire survey conducted by CSTDI on the review of the Executive Grade's Managing Office Information System Course. A total of 274 replies were received, representing a response rate of 59%. In addition to evaluating the effectiveness of the course, the review would shed light on the direction for improving the course content and format to meet latest training needs.

Video on Staff Disciplinary Proceedings

Targeted at HR practitioners and other colleagues handling staff discipline in the civil service, a training package with a video featuring a simulated hearing and a complementary guidebook has been produced. The package is being distributed to departments.
