Appointments to the Standing Committee on Disciplined Services Salaries and Conditions of Service
The Government today (December 15) announced that the Chief Executive has appointed Mr Horace Cheung Kwok-kwan as a member of the Standing Committee on Disciplined Services Salaries and Conditions of Service (the Standing Committee) for a term of two years. The appointment will take effect on January 1, 2010.
The Chief Executive has also re-appointed Mr William Chan Fu-keung as a member of the Standing Committee and the Chairman of the ICAC Sub-Committee for a term of two years with effect from January 1, 2010.
The Government also expresses gratitude to Mr Ip Kwok-him, who will retire from the Standing Committee on December 31, 2009, for his valuable contributions to the work of the Committee over the past years.
The Standing Committee advises the Government on matters relating to the salaries and conditions of service of the disciplined services. It is currently under the chairmanship of Mr Barry Cheung Chun-yuen. Other serving members of the Standing Committee are Ms Wong Mee-chun, Ms Chiang Lai-yuen, Mr Mark Lin, Miss Elaine Chan Wing-yi, Mr Michael Lee Tze-hau, Mrs Margaret Leung Ko May-yee and Dr David Wong Yau-kar.
