Administrative Officer and Executive Officer II applicants are reminded to apply for Common Recruitment Examination
The Government will conduct another round of recruitment exercise for Administrative Officer (AO) and Executive Officer II (EOII) in September. Candidates interested in applying for the AO and/or EOII post(s) are reminded to apply for the coming Common Recruitment Examination (CRE) starting from tomorrow (August 4) if they do not possess the requisite results in CRE, or equivalent. Applications for CRE must be made before 5 pm on August 17 (Hong Kong Time).
Similar to the recruitment exercises in 2006/07, all AO and/or EOII applicants will need to obtain "Level 2" results in the two language papers (i.e. Use of Chinese and Use of English) and a pass result in the Aptitude Test in the CRE before they are qualified to apply for the AO and/or EOII post(s).
Unlike the previous recruitment exercises where the application period of CRE and AO and EOII overlapped such that candidates without the requisite results in CRE, or equivalent, when they applied for the AO and/or EOII post(s) would automatically be invited to attend the next CRE to be held, the application period of the coming CRE will be earlier than that of the AO and EOII posts.
Therefore, candidates interested in applying for the AO and/or EOII post(s) but without the requisite results in CRE, or equivalent, must file an application for the coming CRE during its application period so that they will be eligible to apply for the AO and/or EOII post(s) in September.
Details about the 2007/08 AO and EOII recruitment exercises will be announced in September.
