Knowing Sustainable Construction - Wetland Park The thematic activity "Knowing Sustainable Construction – Wetland Park" was held on 16 June at Hong Kong Wetland Park in Tin Shui Wai. Around 70 participants from various departments joined the event. Hong Kong Wetland Park is located at the northern part of Tin Shui Wai in the New Territories, occupying 61 hectare of land. It does not only successfully demonstrate and reflect the diversity of the Hong Kong's wetland ecosystem but also highlight the definite need to conserve them. The activity was a train-the-volunteers session to equip voluntary teams in departments with knowledge of the sustainability design of Wetland Park, so that they may help to promote the message when they organise their own activities in future. The event comprised a briefing on the design of the Park by the professionals of Architectural Services Department, including an Architect, a Structural Engineer and a Building Services Engineer, followed by a guided tour of the Park.
