In order promote a healthy lifestyle among the elderly, the Department of Health (DH) volunteer team organised the "Caring for the Elderly with Health Talks" on 1 September 2007 at Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui Wong Tai Sin District Elderly Community Centre. Around 60 senior citizens participated in the event.

Apart from performance of Cantonese operatic songs, the DH volunteer team also arranged a health talk for the elderly, in order to remind them and stress the importance of a healthy lifestyle with a balanced diet and sufficient exercises. After the health talk, the volunteer team members demonstrated some stretching exercises to the elderly, and encouraged them to practise at home.
