Staff are consulted on matters that affect them. Staff views and suggestions are taken into account in the formulation of policies. Through two-way communication, the management explains to staff the background and rationale behind the proposed initiatives, and staff can express their views and contribute usefully on areas where they have valuable working knowledge or experience. The consultation process also helps secure staff commitment and facilitate implementation of the policy.
